Extreme Junior and  High schools (EJHS)

Extreme Junior and High School are mixed day and boarding schools. The junior school is located at Nansana East 1 zone and the high school is located in Namayumba town council, both schools are in wakiso district on Hoima road in Uganda. The junior school has a pupil population of 300, 12 teachers, 8 technical staff and more than 10 volunteer’s staff a year from western country.



History

Extreme Junior was founded in 2004 under the names Nansana Community primary school. Segawa Ephraim started it as an informal home school where he and his friend taught reading and writing. The students were mainly orphans and other community vulnerable children.

 Extreme High school was founded in 2010.  Students graduating from Extreme Junior School go directly to Extreme High school. The school has a student population of 250, 14 teachers, 6 technical staff and more than 10 volunteer’s staff a year from western country.The number is  keeping  growing, with students coming from as far as   Kasese, Busoga, Toro, Ankole and Bunyoro

 Mission Statement

The mission statement of EJHS  is to nurture the “whole child” in areas of physical, intellectual, emotional, social and spiritual development. This will be achieved through providing a variety of activities that are developmentally appropriate and recognizes the individual needs and differences of children. Through our principles and teacher-assisted and directed activities, children are encouraged to be independent thinkers and life-long learners.  

EJHS provides and teaches students  studies in the arts and sciences found at institutions of secondary learning.  A high school -based curriculum tailored specifically for students, taught in a fun, nurturing care giving environment
